The oldest Zen temple in Japan, Kenninji possesses numerous cultural artifacts such as a folding-screen painting by Sotatsu Tawaraya (entitled “The Wind and Thunder Gods”), and a sliding-door painting by Yusho Kaiho.
Kenninji is just a one-minute walk from Kinoe.
